Thanks for all the kind words on Friday, the day was kind of uneventful.
I wasn't quite sure how to handle it with my dad, but, as it turned out, there was really nothing to handle.
We went out to dinner, he seemed a little down, which is understandable.
Saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix last night. I took Busy Girl and two of her friends.
The friends had already seen it, and, sent text messages to Lord only knows who through the whole thing.
Thoughts on the movie:
- Would just ONE daylight scene have killed them?
The darkness, oh the darkness. Not the metaphorical darkness, just the lack of any light at all on the screen darkness.
- It was OK, I guess. As I told my Twitter peeps, it was more like the Hogwarts Justice League, or, some sort of anime cartoon come to life.
- Those kids are really too old to be playing those characters. But, like the rest of you, I try to pretend like they're not.
- I don't see the appeal of Rupert Grint. So, sue me.
The Weasley Twins actors were strangely kinda hot, though.
Godspeed to Tammy Faye, tryly an original, and, more substance than anyone thought.
We went to see Busy Boy at camp today. And, well, what would camp be if I didn't have a kid with strep throat there?
Busy Boy was obviously sick, but, hadn't told anyone. So, we went to get a throat culture, but, it was negative.
We'll see if anything grows overnight, though.
This is his first year, and, I know he's having fun, but, I'm having a little trouble figuring out if he's sick, homesick, tired, or, all of the above.
He just didn't seem like himself, but, I think he's OK. Sundays (visiting days) are just hard on everyone, campers, parents, and, staff.
I know of what I speak, it used to be me organizing them many moons ago. Seriously, I think everyone would be better without them.
I'm pretty sure some of you camp people are reading this (hi, there!), so, feel free to pass it along.
I feel like I've driven 3,000 miles today.
I've finally got time to get excited about going to BlogHer this week!
I've never been, but, I'm looking forward to it even though some of my favorite people won't be attending this year.
Lindsay, Bruiser, and, I take to the skies sometime this week, but, we're not sure when. I'm told Hubs is holding our itinerary hostage.
When we get there, Jenn is going to make room for me in her bed for the duration.
Or, wait. Maybe our room has 2 beds, I forget.

Actually, I just wanted to keep you in the dark re: flight itinerary for as long as possible because I was afraid you'd spill the beans and legions of fans would show up with posters and flowers to wish us bon voyage. I hate it when that happens.
I don't get the texting thing. I must be getting old!
I think Rubert is the best actor on the set. If you will keep an eye out on his acting throughout the movies he leaves them all behind with his skill. It's a shame they all grew up but that happens :-( Great site you have, my Aunt showed it to me this morning.-an x busy Mom
I am looking forward to seeing Harry Potter but I will mention to Prince Charming that it is dark to prepare him. Dark movies sometimes bug him.
Sorry your little guy is sick. I hope that it is just homesickness and that it passes quickly.
Ah, Tammy Faye.
What can we say?
I thought of her yesterday when I was in church. I am on the worship team, so I sing up there in front of everyone. This is norally a wonderful thing. I always look forward to it.
But on the last shopping trip, Mulletman did the shopping and HE bought me new mascara.
It is NOT waterproof and the worship and service were very moving. VERY moving.
I had to keep muting my mike so they wouldn't hear my snuffling and snorting. I cried - alot.
and I was wearing a white shirt.
Moral? NEVER let a man buy your mascara.
Have a safe and FUN trip, and yes, Lindsey, I would have shown up with signs and flowers to send you both off :) Ladies, enjoy your "me" time this week!
Heh...I agree about HP5, they glossed over some good scenes with potential amounts of light. Did you get the new book? Just stumbled on your site while doing research for my boss on Mom blogs. Think this ones good ; ).

See you there!
I was gonna take my daughter (12) to see the Harry Potter, but she decided she wanted to see Hairspray instead, which was really cute...but disappointing if you're a fan of the original, which I am.
I've heard the 5th HP movie is somewhat of an extra-long trailer-style movie...not much character build, etc, but really, with the books being as long as they are, you have to cut back somewhere!
I've never seen any of the HP movies. I just don't get the hype!
You get to go to BlogHer? I've always wanted to visit Chicago. I haven't seen any of the HP movies, but I have heard they have become "darker" in many ways. I am often yelling at my daughter to QUIT texting when we are out in places. I think it's rude, and tell her so. Naturally, she appreciates that a lot!
I think I am one of the few people on the planet not caught up in the Harry Pottery hype. Ratatouille anyone?
You bloggin' mamas have fun...I can't wait to read all about it!
Hey girlie! LTNS, but I've seen you on my Twitter for a week or so.
Harry Potter: The movie wasn't as good as the book, they should have gone into more detail about the Order. I love the books and just finished reading the last one.
Texting is fun, I will text you if you want. ;)
Have a good one and come visit me, will you?
Oh and your head graphic is weird in FF, why is that?
WooHoo! I get to sleep with Busy Mom. Oh wait...you mean because of the two beds you want your own? Darn!!
See you soon, sis!
Userful blog. Thanks!
Hello, nice site :)
