Here we are in Chicago at BlogHer.
This is exhausting.
I'll try to spare you the gushing details about it all, but, it really is as cool as you've heard.
Lindsay, Bruiser, and, I got here Thursday around lunch, and, we're here at the W on Lakeshore.
I am totally exhausted.
The W is a "boutique" hotel which translates roughly into, "Small room with trendy decor".
Actually, the whole place is painfully hip.
Did I tell you I'm really tired? Someone kept me up late last night ;)
I'm even too big of a dork for the blue-lit, techno music infused elevator. The whole place is supposed to have a "club" feel to it.
It's nice, the lobby, and the Whiskey Skybar here on the 33rd floor are Chicago hotspots.
I'm tired.
As a matter of fact, there was a party up there last night, and, Sara, Susan, and, I yelled at each other all evening.
Trendy is loud, I found out.
There are parties, receptions, and, general milling about, not to mention the full days of the conference itself.
It' s being held at Navy Pier, and, what a spectacular view!
I've gotten to meet so many people I've known for so long.
I won't even attempt to list everyone, but, the best part about it all, is that, once I met them, it's been like I've known them all along.
No awkwardness, or, anything, we've just all jumped right in like we'd just seen each other yesterday.
More later, I'm tired.
Sorry to spring that on you like this, I know it must be a surprise.

Sounds pretty cheesy to me.
Perfect capture of the environment. We live and die by your gushes.
Weren;t the beds comfy tho?
I am sooo glad we met. Seriously we are soulmates, "same name" sister! Just don't bog me down with that "cheesy" thing you guys are up to.
Would someone who isn't carzy about noise or crowds love it? That's what I worry about. And is it TIRING??
It sounds like you're going to have to go back to work early Monday so you can rest.
Wow, you must be really tired.
Some of us who couldn't go the convention staged a revolt and posted buttons on our blogs and hung out in a totally underwhelming I'm-not-at-the-covention chat room and everything.
We weren't jealous or envious or covetous or bitter or anything. Not at all. Nope. Not us!
Glad you had a great time!
Hope you find some rest soon!
Being hip is EXHAUSTING. Or was that just all the booze?
"Painfully hip" is the perfect description of the W -- methinks they try just a bit too hard.
Then again, I'm old and can't afford to stay there at the regular rate, so what do I know.
I heard that at least they were hip enough to let you hang out in large crowds in one room if the mood so struck you. Because if not, that is one cheesy way to treat people at a painfully hip hotel.
But at least your roommate was awesome!
Loved meeting you and hanging out :)
"Painful hips," is a perfect way to describe the entire weekend, I think..um..oh, wait!
Trendy is WAY TOO LOUD for me.
