When good rhymes go badWhen Busy D. is brushing his teeth, I often sing a rhyme from Bear in the Big Blue House (love, love, love that one):
Brush brush, bree, brush brush-a brew
My favorite thing about brushing my teeth....(etc.)
I sing it a lot, and, it gets stuck in my head, sometimes.
It does not, however, translate to the shower very well:
Scrub scrub scree, scrub scrub-a...

*snort* scrub scrub a wha?!!?
I had that darn song stuck in my head for 4 years or so. That, and "Everybody say 'AAAAhhh'", and the Potty song.
That show was earworm central.
But your husband with like that version. Go ahead!
hahahaha
I ned to learn that song. I've resorted to repurposing The Wheels on the Bus for when I brush The Boy's teeth -- he absolutely hates it and I had to come up with something to distract him!
That is hysterical. I've never heard that song but its in my head now..thanks! (joke)
anyway wanted MOMs to see this new brand for girls first.. hope you like it.
Hulala Girls Gaming for a Green Planet!
I don't know that song. Does it go "My favorite thing about brushing my teeth is making them shine for you?" Or some other way.....?
Ah, that one does get stuck in your head doesn't it! I sing that to P too.
After being a parent for 5 years, I cannot remember my favourite songs. Only songs I could remember are all children songs.Sigh....
When my daughter brushed, she loves to eat the toothpaste. That worries me but it is better than her not brushing at all.

you bristle, madam?
Hee hee! Guess which version is going to be stuck in MY head now.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Goodbye of that show. We used to sing it every time. And there was sweet song that Tutter sang, "Dear Grandma Flutter, Love Tutter" that I just love too.
Oh no! Now it's stuck in my head, too. I always loved that song. More than my kids did, I think. I've collected at least three or four toothbrushing songs in my parenting experience. I like BITBBH's Potty song and sing it sometimes, even though we're past that stage, just because it's fun.
haha, no it does not! of course now I will have that song stuck in my head the next time I am in the shower.
What a post!! Very informative also easy to understand. Looking for more such blog posts!! Do you have a myspace?
I recommended it on digg. The only thing that it's missing is a bit of speed, the pictures are appearing slowly. However thank you for this information.
Really good facts I was searching Bing for one thing and discovered this blog of yours. Btw, is there any way to subscribe to new posts?
