Wednesday, August 29
How'd it get to be Wednesday?

So, the cat refused to eat the Fruit Loops on the porch, we're trying to thaw the ice from the eggs, and, we've moved to a bigger hair dryer for the fridge.

What?

You expected something else from the Broken Refrigerator Blog?

3 - number of times Appliance Repair Bobby has visited our humble abode.

He has his own house key now. He even fed the dogs for us yesterday (true story).

4 - number of times we've removed all food from the fridge, bought ice, and, filled coolers

0 - number of new refrigerators we can afford.

The problem is actually rather minor, we think. It's older, but, it's still quite cold, and, all that.

2 - number of new heaters we've bought for the refrigerator. Yeah, heaters for the fridge, oxymoron, that.

1 - number of new little plastic tube thingys that keep the water flowing into the ice maker, and, not on the freezer floor.

However, the refriger-patient seems to have a heartbeat today, there's hope.

The back-to-school freight train has hit us with a vengeance.

Busy Dad and I both took today off for several reasons, and, as expected, we're getting none of those reasons accomplished.

Three Four big things that were to be accomplished:

- finish painting the kitchen (natural enemy: thaw fridge)
- take Busy D. back to the dentist (natural enemy: broken dental equipment)
- get to Busy Boy's early football scrimmage (natural enemy: Busy Boy woke up sick)
- do a crap-ton of delinquent online work (natural enemy: all of the above)

Another out of the ordinary thing today was a special Mass at school.

I took off to help with Busy D.'s kindergarten class, since they've not been to Mass, yet, and, today would be a challenge.

Busy D. behaved reasonably well, he probably would have done better had I not been there.

It was a long one, and, he was getting restless, and started muttering under his breath while the Bishop was talking: "Shut. Up."

Actually, I'm not positive that's what he said, but, I had to work to contain myself, especially since Busy Girl and her friends were sitting behind me, and, I would have mortified her in some way if I breathed, or, made any unnecessary utterances.

3 - number of kids I have selling gift wrap for school fund raiser.

Want to buy something? (Yes, I know, I'm asking anyway).

E-mail me, and, tell me which kid you want to buy from, and, I'll send you the link, you can order stuff online. There's magazine subscriptions, too.

Busy Boy is obsessed with selling 35 items to get some disco ball thing, Busy Girl just wants to sell enough to get an out of uniform pass, and, Busy D. has no idea what's going on.

Would anyone like a warm Diet Coke?

Hey, visit me at Career and Kids, and, GenBetween, too. (PRETTY PLEASE?) Watch this space for another announcement as well, because, you know, I don't have enough blogs.

Reading this made me happy (in a morbid sort of way) to know that my life isn't the only one that's crazy out of control.

...and you made me laugh. Thanks, I needed that!

Busy D and Henry should sit together at Mass.

No, wait, they should NOT sit together. Ever. Never mind.

I'm so happy my girls went back to school last week and I can be done with all that before school stuff. I hate that before school never ending week.

Good luck with your fridge issues! I've never had anything like that happen, knock on wood...but I'm sure it's a pain in so many areas.

I just know those people at GE are awesome, and that tons of people would buy their beautiful stainless steel refrigerators, like GE Profileā„¢ Energy StarĀ® 22.2 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel-Wrapped Bottom-Freezer Drawer Refrigerator Model #:PDW22SISRSS, if they just delivered one to the doorstep of Busy Mom.

The dentist had equipment failure? My electricity went haywire....is your fridge contageous? he.he.he I am only kidding :-)

I don't miss those days of three kids selling the same thing AT ALL. Probably the only thing I don't miss.....dam kids growing up on me.

aaahh! I've been busy for awhile (hahaha - no pun intended!) and I see TPSFKAIEDHSBSLDENSKDEHXD has a new name!!! Busy D the M! Of course, that's what he'd be to me! of course! Glad it SOOOO much shorter for you! AND US!!!!

; )

At least he didn't yell, "I don't like it here!" (That would be my son during church.)

Good you're keepng out of trouble with all the blog postings, heh heh.

i'll buy gift wrap...if you'll buy a pretzel kit, varsity card, or candy bars.

I'll buy wrapping paper from you if you buy wrapping paper and/or pizza from me?

Freakin' school fund raisers! Geesh!

You need a long long beach vacation.

Or medication.

Either one will work:)

Your refrigerator repair dude fed your dogs?

Hilarious!
I'm still trying to pinpoint the human who is changing the freezer and fridge settings all the time at my house. I don't like butter popsicles!
