Having been there, I really send you my most sincere condolences! Just kidding, but try to enjoy those years. Things will get better, but I found only after they get worse.

HB, BG...if you now want to scare yourself to death go rent the movie called '13'. Very intense and really not for kids to watch and probably not even for mom's of recently turned 13 yr old girls...but, it does portray what might go through the minds of many 13 yr old girls in today's world.

Just remember, you love her, that does NOT mean you have to like her. Oh, and the aliens will return your baby when she's somewhere in her twenties.

I'm the mother of a 14 y/o girl and I pray daily that I can parent her in a way that will allow her to grow up to be a productive contributing member of society. I also just started parenting a teenage myself last Thursday, I'm already even more tired!
Uh oh - I mean, congratulations :) I remember the age of "13" - that was the year my very conservative, traditional, usually very loving mother was driven to the edge and back, and told me I was acting like a "bitch" - good luck~
