Britney Spears on the VMAs

Did anyone see poor Britney Spears on the VMAs (Video Music Awards)?

If not, it was pretty bad.

Even the audience was kind of stunned. 50 Cent and diddy (I'm so hip) were all, "What just happened?"

I know I've talked about her before, but, the whole thing is actually really sad to me.

She just looked completely lost (scared? baked?), and, I still wonder why no one can help her get herself in order before her career.

Do you think the pole dancers were enough to distract everyone from her hideous lip synch job? Why even bother wearing the mike with the box tucked in your hind-end when you really aren't using it, Brit?

And why am I even watching?

Oh it was sad. she just seemed so out of place.

Ouch. I hate to think what she's doing to unwind right now after that performance! I'm sure they'll be pictures on Perez Hilton in the am.

I'm actually scared for her. She used to be a cute kid-something has gone horribly wrong.

it was an odd surreal to me. kinda like a car wreak happening

It was like she knew it was bad and couldn't stop it, or fix it...really uncomfortable. The crowd reaction shots were priceless, but sad.

Wow.. I just checked it on youtube.com. Didn't get to watch last night.. now I"m rather greatful I didn't. Its sad. I think ms britt displays classic symptoms of a mental illness..

Very sad. I wrote a whole "review" about the VMAs on my blog. I feel bad for Brit.

Train wreck!
Why WERE we watching?

I guess we thought she'd pull it off?

This is totally off the subject but I'm too lazy to look up your email address. Did you see this about FBOFW?! http://www.fborfw.com/news/ I feel awful for her!

Yes, I gleefully tuned in to watch the disaster (somehow I knew it would be good!) and sure enough, Britney did not disappoint. I almost feel sorry for her now. What the hell was she thinking??

She lost her confidence and her objective in life.
You can detect a confident person by their actions. But for her, she is losing all the star traits.

She didnt' want to be there, we didn't want her to be there. And the saddest thing is she couldn't scrape it together enough to look like she was trying to look like she wanted to be there. (huh? You know what I mean.......) She needs medication - the prescribed kind not the self medicating kind.

I didn't see it, but my roomate said she looked, and I quote, "like a dead fish." Very sad indeed.

Can't weigh in b/c didn't watch the VMA awards. But I'm hopping on UTube now just so I don't miss the train wreck. Rubber necking is just so irresistible.

I don't think it was up to the quality needed to open the VMAs, but I don't think she was terrible. Just looked like she didn't give it her all.

Didn't see it, but saw an article (with picture) in the paper. I feel very sorry for her, and even sorrier for her boys. Let's hope she gets her life together before she totally messes up theirs.

My only question....Where is her mama?? If I were in this same situation, my mama would be beatin' my butt (It's a southern thing) and getting me back on the straight and narrow.

I feel so sorry for her. I wish the media would stop giving her such a hard time and try helping her instead.

I didn't see it, but I know it would have saddened me. I'm not a fan; seeing someone self-destruct like she has is painful though.

Baked?

ROFL (sorry, I know she's a totally sad trainwreck but that was really effin' funny)

I am with you Izzy--BAKED? Busy, you are too funny. And you even knew 50 cent and diddy. My kids dream of a cool mom like you.
