A kinder, gentler airportI'm at the airport.
Waiting.
Waiting some more.
Goin' to Kansas City. Kansas City, here I come.
Everyone I have encountered since I got to the airport has been so nice.
I mean, warm, fuzzy smiles, greetings exchanged, friendly small-talk.
So very un-airport like, I had to check to see if I was wearing my special glasses, or, something.

KC? Really?
Email me if you have a couple hours while you're here, I'll buy you dinner. Maybe even show you the statue of The Great Cow God.
(I bet you think that last one's a joke)
have a safe trip - I sent you an e-mail....
Hey, I was at the Kansas City airport on Sunday coming back home. We were so close to crossing paths...don't forget the BBQ.
KC is great!
And I am in Texas pouting. So...you know what to do. ;-)
They got some crazy little women there. Or so I hear.
People go to Kansas City..on purpose?
Doesn't that freak you out a bit, when people almost seem TOO nice?!
ah the best part of airports...people watching :) that's at leat my favorite.
Well,
We must've been in two different airports. Is there more than one in Kansas City? I didn't see a friendlier, gentler airport. Maybe I was having a menopausal moment.
ok moms, secrets to how you do it...this is a great time for those more seasoned and experienced to share tidbits that will literally save another or new mom's sanity... Yes, it eventually gets easier...and yes, you will one day look back and say it was all worth while...but what about the inbetween time?
what are your secrets or tricks in balancing a fulltime job outside the home while at the same time making sure things at home are balanced?
Mine is no secret. After 4 c-sections, 3 colicky kids and varicose veins (i swear i'm turning into a tree stump) my being able to survive day to day has been a loving husband who doesn't let me shoulder everything on my own.
and....instituting family night...every monday there's no t.v., basketball practice, beauty parlor appointments, or errands to run...that is when we all get together and do some activity that involves EVERYONE...and every one gets to take a turn to decide what that activity will be...
ok, that's what i do..not sure if that's helpful but its helped us tremendously...
who's next? What's your secret or tidbit you can share on how you balance it all?
thanks for reading!

I don't know about you but I usually fly Jet Blue and their service is excellent.....plus there's cable! :P
I used to live near KC. It's definitely one of my favorite cities. However, you weren't IN the KC airport when you wrote this, were you?
Hmmm. Maybe it was the glasses!
