Christmas is on Tuesday and not Wednesday like I had it in my head.
Awesome.
I live to take 12 teens ice skating and then have them to spend the night, tonight.
I'm overjoyed at the thought of having to finish Christmas shopping when we're already out of Christmas money.
Still need to wrap every gift we have? Check.
Why yes, we DO have friends coming from out of town, MIL's birthday Sunday, and, her arrival with unknown quantity of Busy Dad siblings for an unspecified number of days.
Work still kicking my ass. Thanks for asking.
Family is weird about wanting Christmas dinner on, you know, Christmas, so, I suppose a trip to the grocery is in order.
Then? As if that weren't enough, they want it cooked, too.
It's the most wonderful time of the year.

I thought I left a comment already. Hmm. Anywho...
"Still need to wrap every gift we have? Check." - One step ahead of me. I still need to do my shopping. I absolutely dread it. I have a love/hate relationship with this time of year. I look forward to it until it's here and then I hate it until it's over.
Cooking? Buy premade dinner rolls and mashed potatoes- those types of things will make your day so much easier. Bob Evans has dinner rolls and mashed potatoes in stores.
Feeling a little scrooge-ish?
I just bought my last gift yesterday but I still need to buy my Christmas food and wash the tablecloth, set the table etc. I love it but stress out so over it. De-lurking to wish you a Merry Christmas!
Christmas Meme. I have tagged you with a Christmas Meme. Go HERE if you want to do it.
I don't know if I am done buying gifts yet either, but I found the perfect Christmas sign when I was out getting our annual ornament and had to bring it to work for my office. It reads: Be Naughty, Save Santa the Trip!
Everything that really needs to be done WILL get done--it always does.
I nominate Busy Dad and Busy Girl to cook Christmas dinner.
You're not alone...I've been blogging about this for days now. Yes, I am trying to beat a dead horse, thank you!
Eh, We're going to New Orleans for to watch Memphis play in the New Orleans Bowl. If I havent bought it yet, they aint gettin it.
Simply having a wonderful Christmas time!!
I feel your pain.
Really, I do. Except for the teenager part...
Courage.
I'm starting a new Christmas tradition at my house: Pop Tarts.
They double as christmas GIFTS and DINNER.
Oh.My.God. the nerve of some people.. expecting cooked food! LOL>. you should read my post from yesterday. Shopping? LOL I'll be at walmart at 3:00 AM Christmas morning, seriously.
Deep breaths! This time of year it's so easy to get buried under it all especially when you're the one who is expected to do it all! Take a long deep breath and realize that sometimes it's okay to pass the buck ie: Brother in law here's a list of what I need please run to the store for me :) Good luck and merry Christmas!
You've got me beat! While I do have shopping left to do, I have nearly everything that I have gotten wrapped and under the tree...
I'm not cooking the whole dinner (going to Mom & Dad's house), but I do have to bring a couple of dishes (of cooked food) with me for dinner & on Christmas Eve too.
Good luck! Just think...in less than a week, you'll be done!
I had my annual Christmas rant/tantrum last night telling my teens and husband how they have no clue how much work goes into putting on Christmas and what would they do if I just said "Ain't doing it". I've kinda sorta said that this year.
Parallel lives, you and me. My daughter's birthday was yesterday, so today we are taking a big group of 14 and 15 year olds to see the light show at our local zoo, then to eat pizza. I HATE spend-the-nights, so that was never an option. But everything else, exactly the same: no presents under the tree yet, no food for christmas dinner yet, house is a wreck....parallel. But, Merry Christmas, anyway.
I find that mapping your gifts by a letter on the label to your list helps enormously on the day.
PS Life is a beach, especially if you sing to your ipod and it's all over YouTube.
ho ho ho
Bah-humbug you say?
Up until a few days ago I thought Christmas was next Thursday.
I still need to shop for the parents and buy food for Christmas lunch at our house but I'm getting there.
Good luck! Pass the spiked egg nog!
And to top it off, your blog has decided to do its own little weird thing. Unless that's just my computer...
I'm liking the pop tart idea. My son would die with happiness because he doesn't get to eat those! I could say it was Santa! LOL!
