Estate planningThe kids were talking about something occurring many years in the future and Busy Boy added, "I'll be living at home then, anyway."
Busy Girl was studying, but, piped in with, "No you won't, I'm the oldest and I 'call' the house."
Busy Boy: "You can't do that!"
Me: "Yeah, that could be a problem, what will you do with the old people living there, anyway?"
Busy Girl (without looking up from her books): "Condo. Florida."

Funny, I had a similar conversation with my two a few weeks back. I wonder when they will come to the realization that living independently means living outside of our home. Maybe the teen years.
My kids are going to keep me chained in my room to be used as "lawn boy" and "dish washer."

We had similar conversations when we were kids-like who called the piano, the china and crystal, etc. But never with a come-back as good as Busy Girl's!
You're lucky. Our 9 and 7 year old are putting us in a home.

Well, at least they are looking out for you! I always imagine that the girls will move out and Fun Daddy will be on a business trip when I croak... and then my pets will feast on my rotting corpse.
That's too funny...although Florida isn't all that bad, i'm only 26 and already looking at moving down that way. Sure it's just for the warm weather but it beats dealing with this cold season stuff every year!
Condo Florida sounds way better than the loony bin Abu Dhabi ;)
