As I told my Twitter peeps, I missed an important day on Tuesday, it was my 5th blogaversary.
On January 22nd, 2003, I sat down with an 9 month old Busy D. and opened up a Blogger account hosted on Blogspot (no, I have no idea how to find it, now).
I had seen something about blogging on the news, and, thought, "Hey, I could do that!" So, I tried it, and, imagine my surprise when someone left a comment.
It took me forever to find a name that wasn't taken, and, I actually put "Busy Mom" in there in exasperation, and, it wasn't taken.
Despite various trollish accusations to the contrary over the years, that's really all there was to my blog name, I have no delusions that I'm busier than everyone else.
My first entry was something about the kids all playing band instruments in the living room.
For some reason, I thought to myself, I should remember this date, I didn't really know why, though.
I eventually "met" these two ladies who helped me tremendously along the way, even hosting my site until I ventured out and bought my own domain in April, 2003.
I had no idea I'd still be doing it in 2008, though.
It's a lot of fun thanks to all of you.
Let's keep going, shall we?

Please keep going. You have a great style and fabulous eye for the comedy and joy of parenting. BTW, loved the conversation with BG yesterday. Hillarious. I was in a meeting today with a young college educated girl who was not sure where L.A. was. She hadn't ever been to California so was not sure if it was in northern or southern CA. It reminded me of the BG comment.
Well, blogging is one of the internet things I just haven't gotten into yet. But I do think it's cool that so many people, and moms, do it. Plus, it's neat to see someone who's been doing it for so long, They seem to be usually short-lived.
Happy Blogaversary! You are definately one of my faves and I thank you so much for helping me through my turmoil over the summer.

Great Happy BLog Day !! I thought I was doing something great when I celebrated my first blogversary on my blog a couple of weeks ago!!
I remember that Busy D was not quite a year old when I found you or you found me, I forget. I've been annoying you ever sense.
If you want to be technical, I started in 2001 (I made a post on 12/28 -Welcome to my blog!- and that was it) but didn't really blog in earnest until April 2002.
OMFG. I am so old! Well, you are too so it's all good. But seriously, who would have thought we'd still be doing this years later?
