Yes, coach. Right away, coach.

We've had a lot of basketball lately as Busy Girl's team is in the tournament.

One of last weeks games was a tough one, a real barn burner, but, the main attraction was the other team's coach.

The coach was a visual sight to behold, and possessed some, um, "strong" emotions, but, did seem quite knowledgeable.

After the game, a number of people were (jokingly) remarking that we were going to hang around the gym just to make sure we didn't encounter the coach in the parking lot, we were all a little scared.

Ha, ha, ha, ha. We slayed ourselves, we were soooo funny.

Fast forward to yesterday, guess who's Busy Girl's AAU coach for this Spring?

Stay tuned.

Sounds as thought it should be interesting!

I'll bet that you learn a lot. Dare I say you may even be singing the praises of said new coach? Sometimes game persona is way different than motivating practice coach....Can't wait to hear either way. You'll give us a great laugh with whatever the outcome.

Sounds like Busy Girl is going to have an awesome year next year! A good coach makes such a huge difference. Good luck!

Sounds like a coach from our small town. I've seen him actually throw himself on the gym floor when he was frustrated at the way his team was playing. We (the spectators) were quite amused but I was also glad none of my family played for him. He, too, is apparently very knowledgeable because I've also seen him referee games and, although he's not a school coach, he does help the middle school coach. But it's hard to watch the game when I keep watching him to see what he's going to do!

is it too late to back out or look for another coach? If you have done AAU before, you know you are going to be spending a loooot of time with this guy. You also have the pleasure of facing a bizillion teams who will feel the same way about the coach you did. It didn't sound like she had the most enjoyable season this year on her regular team. Maybe take the year off? That said, I'm a bit biased. If I could take back all the weekends devoted to AAu and the ever shifting schedule, last minute tourneys, and driving all over the planet, I would. Do I sound a bit bitter?
