In case you missed it, today is Leap Day, in which we celebrate the aligning of the Gregorian calendar with the seasons.
As if getting the seasons misaligned with the calendar would matter around here, anyway.
Since the dawn of February, the flowers are blooming, we've had tornadoes, and, this week it snowed on the same day the temperature was in the sixties.
I'm not sure what exactly is supposed to happen today other than the people who were born or married on this day have to endure jokes along the lines of , "Hey, you're really only 8 years old", or, "Wow, you guys have really only been married for 3 years instead of 12."
But, the prevailing sentiment is that we should all do something special today.
So, since this little novelty puts another day between me and my paycheck, as I only get paid once a month, I shall spend the day refreshing my bank account balance in case my deposit shows up earlier and I can eat lunch.

Maybe your employer will do something special and pay you interest on the extra day they got to keep your money.
We've already started today on a high note - Tyler locked BOTH SETS OF KEYS to my car - IN THE CAR. AAA was out about 30 minutes ago, so I am not cleaning my house today...makes sense, right?
So very, very jealous. Since the beginning of February in these parts, we have seen weather so cold that we can't stand it! Literally, I have left for work this month and the thermometer has registered below zero. What I wouldn't give for some sixties and flowers. And the crummy part is that there isn't even a trade off -- we get tornadoes as well. Sigh.
LOL! You sound like me with refreshing the page on the bank account page! (Hope ya had some Leap Year Day luck on that!)
Have a wonderful weekend!
Isn't that the truth.
So what did you eat for lunch?
I got here late, so it is now March 1st and we are having our (I kid you not) 31st snowstorm of the year. Last year I think we had 6-8 storms.
I haven't seen a flower in ahundred years! (or so it seems)
Groovy - I am totally with you! I don't know if you live in the Northeast like I do, but we had a snow storm on the 1st also...I can't take it anymore! My kids have had so many days off from school that they're going to have no summer vacation. Bring on the flowers!
