I was trying to buy some makeup and noticed that everyone and their brother's product now has Natural! Minerals!
I know it's due to the wild success of the Bare Esencetuals line, but isn't a mineral "natural" by definition?
Why should I be excited about "minerals" on my face all of a sudden?
Talc is a mineral and it's typically in powders, that's not new.
Graphite is a mineral, perhaps I'll just cut to the chase and do my eyes with a Number 2 pencil.
Double the fun, office supplies and makeup in one.

Yes, they do go overboard in marketing don't they.
It is like all the vitamins and supplements that are "all-natural" so it must be "good for you."
Ummm... arsenic is all natural, but I am pretty sure I heard it isn't all that good for you.
I love my Bare Minerals... but I am still trying to figure out how to keep MonAnge out of them. She assumes that anying good is good for her! And trust me, this is not a good choice for teenagers.
Well, observed BMo - that's a particular pet peeve of mine, too (though I hadn't heard about this line of cosmetics). And yes, arsenic is a naturally occurring mineral and it makes your skin so lovely and white - at least that what the ladies of the Elizabethan court thought.
Asbestos, mercury, lead, radon, and on and on. They're all natural!
Why minerals? Because they rock!
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! Couldn't resist!
