Time keeps on slippin'

If I had something witty to say, it'd go here.

The end of the school year is kicking mah ass.

But, (butt?) at least I have my fancy new camera to record my ass-kicking.

Busy Girl's team advanced in the volleyball tournament tonight, she's got 2 basketball tournaments coming up, both boys play soccer, there's field trips, projects, exams, house guests coming.

You know what all that means, don't you?

I'm poorer and it's getting in the way of me wasting time on the Internet.

Two weeks from Saturday, my oldest baby will graduate from the only school she's ever known.

Then? She'll be in high school.

Nine years goes fast, my friends. It really, really does.

I feel your pain! In a mere 40 days mah baby will be a HS graduate.

I've tried bricks, but they don't work. They have the nerve to keep growing.

Beginning in 3 weeks, my two daughters will be graduating 6 days apart. The first from high school, the younger from 8th grade. The boy turned 16 yesterday. The first born is attending prom tomorrow. Ah, hahahahahahaha sigh... ha ha (sound of head hitting desk)

This year has flown by for us too! My oldest will move to another building next year...kids at two schools now to chase after!

Delurking to say I'll be in the same position next year, because my oldest is in 7th grade and has been at the same school since Junior Kindergarten.

And he's now the tallest member of the family. With the deepest voice. Bricks, anvils--nothing helps.

HELLO, I'M FREAKING OUT OVAH HEAH!

HS graduation is the REAL killer. Prepare yourself.

And may I add this to your lament? Once they start HS, time flies by, my friend. College is on the horizon, and my baby is just finishing 9th grade. It's scary.

I used to love playing volleyball! It was a lot of fun. Congrats on the upcoming graduation for your daughter!

Here's a box of Xanax and a kleenex....or is it a box of kleenex and a Xanax?

Are you prepared? Really?

My youngest is going to be starting kindergarten. Kindergarten! And then in two days will be starting high school. At least that's what it will feel like. Nice pics with the new camera.

Awwwww, honey. I know. Fast is the only speed children seem to know. But, congrats! Life will be fun in high school.

For her. Not you.

I'm going to have a college graduate tomorrow. Oh. My. STARS.

Talk about time flying...

Ditto for me over here. Check out my 'Graduate' post.

Thank you for the warning - I will now be stopping each kid from aging as soon as each kid turns 4. I can't imagine teenagers!

I'm right there with you, Momma - #1 going into HS, #2 camping and working on bronze award for GS, #3 graduates 3rd grade (weird, I know) and #4 has made a career out of driving me absolutely nucking futz - I do believe that May and June are going to kill me!

[somber music]

Probably.

My babys off to college very soon and I am ready. Tired of senioritis, nagging her to fill out scholarship apps, angst over the prom dress, $ for this, $ for that, the music program neverending practices that keep her from being able to get a job, yada, yada.................all good stuff but I'm weary . How long will I miss the chaos and enjoy the quiet house ? At least a month I hope before I cry because she's all grown up(sniff-sniff)
