OMG! Was that in your yard? I had no idea those things lived around here! I've seen large brown creatures I took to be groundhogs. We lived in LA for a number of years before moving here and I was unprepared for the amount of wildlife I've encountered- including a skunk living under the house!
(I guess I was shocked out of lurkdom- hi!)

We had bears in our back yard last week -- a mama & 2 cubs! 9 months ago, I was living on DC and the most wildlife I saw were pigeons & a few squirrels. Now, bears.

Name that critter? "Lunch"

:)

Margeaux. Margot. Mar-go.

Myrtle. Clarabelle.

Chip the Chuck.

Mmmm....Woodchuck...cider, that is.

Name him? I'd call him Bob.

What a cutie! I once found a muskrat stuck in our window well. Had to call the county extension office to ask what it was. Never seen one before or since. What did your dogs think of this guy?

Hmm... my first instinct was Bob, too. But I guess you could call him Joyce. And make up conversations for him to have with a seriously Long Island accent, and he can say things like, "Come Ovuh fowah Cawfee, we can Tawlk"... because that's the Joyce Voice.

if the woodchuck was chucking your house?

Aww .... we had a skunk in our shed last week ....it was bad .... very bad lol
