Home again, home again

Home from the beach.

Yay.

Despite a few missteps, a good time was had by all.

One of the secrets of grown ups is that a vacation really isn't one when you're the parent, and double that when you're the Sandwich Generation poster child.

The fun doesn't end, though, as the house is crawling with non-native children.

Summer is exhausting for those of us who aren't teachers or students.

Back to work tomorrow, as they are funny about wanting me to you know, be there.

I read about your vacation. I found your blog through the mom blogs.

My kids are older now, but vacations when they were young, well let's just say I'm glad they didn't happen too often LOL.

Welcome back. I always think you should have a vacation to recover from a vacation. Damn those boss types for expecting you to actually work.

Vacation? What's that?

Since I'm a SAHM summer is when I dream of school being in- or working. The fighting is going to kill me or them.

But then I think...Pantyhose in the summer? Nah.

Welcome home. Glad to see you survived. Sorry to say, yes... reality is still here.

You're so right about the vacation! I mean, I still want to give the experience to my kids - but OMG could I be more tired after one? Maybe it'll be better when they're a little older...but honestly, when I became "a little older" all I did on vacations was complain and scowl. Is there a magic in between age?

Yes, work sucks that way.

Oh dear...I just read about the trip below. BusyMom should be reading SAINTEDMom, lol - because that? Sounds like being burned at the stake.

Also - the reason why Charlie Brown and I are venturing out on our first vacay in 10 years. Sans kiddos. Sans pets. Sans any other people. Wheeee!!!

I hope your first day back was ok.

Welcome back. I'm glad the tires worked for you this time.

Hopefully the idea of work didn't spoil your vacation.

Say, will you hear anything about a recent boys' choir concert in a nearby church? I'm wondering what those who attended had to say about it.
