Busymom.net: Vapo Feet

As my Twitter peeps are painfully aware, I have a nasty cold and the coughing is out of control.

It even caused me to lose my dinner, actually.

I have ransacked the cabinets, and have taken pretty much one of everything I can find, including some 5 year old cough medicine with codeine.

No idea why it was still in there, but I thought it was worth a shot.

No dice. Time passed and things actually got worse.

My coughing is now starting to make my brain rattle inside my head.

In a fit of desperation, I just broke out the Vick's Vaporub and put it on my feet.

I have coughed twice.

So very strange! But I'm glad that it seems to be helping! My goodness...I'm sick too. But nothing that Vicks'll fix. :-/

I suffered a cold with a terrible cough right after abdominal surgery. As you can imagine I was desperate to find something to stop the cough and the stress on the incision. "Hold" cough drops worked. From what I've gleaned on the internet, I think dextromethorphan is most likely the ingredient that was the key to that success.

I hope you are feeling better soon.

That's a good thing to know. I've always known that the feet have some connection to the throat.

Be careful with that cough. I'm pretty sure that kind of cough herniated my discs.

I have rubbed it on aching legs to make girls shut up ..cough...I mean go to sleep. But what is the foot thing supposed to do?
