Help? This sweet boy has been abandoned at our house.
We have 3 other dogs, we can't keep him.
He's an older male, as nice as he can be. Still has an imprint from where someone removed his collar.
Sorry for the bad cell phone picture, I'll put up more later.
I'm taking a chance that someone local might respond.
Please contact me if you'd like to know more about him.

Have you had him checked for a microchip?
I hope he was just lost and not abandoned. As it is, we want to bring him home. I can't imagine someone putting him out.
He is beautiful!
I wish we could but it's not worth the divorce I would have to go through.
Your site it still horked up, btw...
I am SO not letting my girls get wind of this. Three small yappy ones are way more than enough.
He certainly is a handsome guy, though-- looks well-fed, surely he belongs to someone..? Hope a family gratefully claims him soon.
Hoping someone claims him. Heck if I lived closer I would take him off your hands. I love Rotweillers.
Maybe he slipped his collar? My big lummox can slip hers, if she tries hard enough. Definitely get him checked for a microchip. Any vets office or animal shelter will be happy to do it for you.
He's just gorgeous.
Handsome boy. :) Too bad you cannot keep him.
He's only here to remind you to fix your age in the sidebar. Other than that, he's fine.
What?!
Seriously!?
You and dogs... sorta like peanut butter and jelly. They just seem to go together.
Good luck finding him a home.
Awwww... that's so sad... we just found a home for 3 puppies over at 5MinutesForMom.com, but since they were STUFFED plush puppies, it was a lot easier. LOL
I hope you find him a wonderful home soon.
Any news on the dog? He looks like such a sweetie. We have been visiting the humane society etc. for the last few weeks and we are looking for a rescue dog just like this: older, larger and sweet with kids. I hope you find him the perfect home.
Aww, he's so handsome. I hope his lost owner turns up!
Nice try, but we have more than enough wildlife around here.
Loved the interview on 5 mins - now I can match a different face to the Twitter!
Cheers
This is exactly how we wound up with one of our dogs. This drives me nuts. Though I would like to think (as some other's suggested) that perhaps he escaped or slipped his collar, my guess is that he is not micro-chipped and that he either did something that annoyed the owners (barking, peeing in the house etc) or has some condition that requires vet care (that was the case with our "Sweetie" that we found), and rather than deal with it, they are just telling some heartbroken child somewhere that the dog "ran away."
Good luck finding him a home. Hopefully it won't be too difficult.
