Hurricane Gustav - Three letters earlier than KatrinaWe're preparing the house again for New Orleans Friend and her family.
As much as we enjoy seeing them, perhaps a potentially disastrous hurricane isn't the best way to get together for a visit.
I guess it's time to resurrect the Jim Cantore Weather Channel Drinking Game.
We'll see.

I'm with you on this - we're making plans to go get my 92 year old grandmother from Houston in the next day or so. She wants to drive the 2.5 hours to my house or my mom's house BY HERSELF. Uh, no. I do NOT think so!
Jim Cantore in your back yard is NEVER a good thing - just remember that.
Well, there's nothing like a hurricane to spawn a party.
Which explains why Maine can be rather boring.
I'm wishing they were visiting you all under better circumstances.
Gee, I had forgotten that. Well, just remember, there's always 20 Questions and Scrabble.
The way it's looking, they may be with you for the rest of the season. (I hope not, for their homes' sake)
Take care.
I was just thinking about NOL Friend and her family. I'm so sorry that they have to go through this again (the hurricane hitting their home city, not visiting you!).
Tell NOF I miss her blog!! She's a great read.
I'm so sorry for the reason behind the trip. Here's hoping the damage is minimal!
I really hope that Gustav is all talk in the end. He scares me. As does Hanna who is a little too close to my side of the state for comfort. Storm season kind of sucks.
I hope NOL friend's home is safe when all is said and done. And you guys enjoy those drinks. If it gets too be too much diet coke and water try eating chocolate instead. Or, ya know, booze. But chocolate is a decent substitute. haha
Oh, crud- I forgot about the drinking game! Contra Flow alone would have had me semi-comatose on the floor by midnight Sunday, which would have been a welcome shift from staring at the tee vee and waiting to hear about disasters. I think we avoided them, though- hope as well for your folks!
Generally I do not post on blogs, but I would like to say that this post really forced me to do so, Excellent post!
