Yesterday, Mrs. Fussypants and the Blissfully Domestic crew launched a new blog conference here in the South.
Through the generosity of One2One Network and Epson, Blissdom was born.
It was held in Nashville yesterday at the Hotel Preston (which was very cool, Nashvillians should check it out) and I was honored to be asked to speak.
There were many, many fun people in attendance, and I finally got to meet Missy (and am pretty sure we shouldn't sit next to each other in venues where we should be serious and stuff.).
There were some great sessions about bloggers and blogging, some excellent discussion and I think everyone came away with something they can use.
We were entertained by the lovely and talented Jessie Baylin (Has sound, but you seriously need to check her out), drank Blisstinis at the open bar, had a great dinner at the Sunset Grill (hey, bartender) and got some spiffy swag bags, to boot.
A big thank you to all who made it possible and stay tuned, because rumor has it that Blissdom 2009 is actually right around the corner.

Had a great time (everyone mark your calendars for Blissdom 09) and I'm so glad I ignored my Geritol moment and went to dinner with you all!
It really was fun, wasn't it? :)
You forgot to mention that awesome chick on the panel. You know... the super awesome, Queen of MommyBlogger....the one....the only...BUSY MOM.
I love me some Busy Mom!
I didn't get a chance to actually meet up w/ you in person, but I just have to say I appreciated how down to earth and REAL you were on the panel. Thanks for all your input!
I am soooo jealous. Glad you all had fun. Next time I wanna come!
It was great to meet you. I so appreciated your panel comments and the way you presented the info in such a relatable way. So right, Moriah.
I was bummed to miss out on the Blisstinis and dinner but was great to see you!
It was really nice meeting you and your troublemaker friends at your table. (JK) I'm glad you had a good time and thanks for the mention. Viva Le BlissDom!
Yes, we resemble Barbara's remark, right? Really, I tried to behave... even had on my company manners and everything. BlissDom 08 was great, really, and finally getting to meet you was the cherry on top of the yummiest Blisstini in the world! You're still my hero! I'll sign up to be your first minion - just make sure the lair is nice! Hope to see you again soon. M
SO great to meet ya, lady. You're fun and funny and taught the newbs a thing or two. ;)
I don't know how ya'll slipped this one by me because I could have been in Nashville in just a few hours had I known about it especially since I did all that whining about Blogher.....baaaah, ya'll kept it a secret just because you don't like me didn't you? I know it, I just know it...and I wanted to be part of the "in" crowd so bad.....but next year, you won't be free of me next year, just you wait and see!
I heard a rumor about Feb '09...do you care to confirm?? ;) So sorry I missed it, I won't miss the next one.
I heard AMAZING things about you! Sounds like it was a great event - I think you should head out to the Seattle area for an event so I can attend, too. :)
I'm the author of We Are Girls Who Love to Run and dabble in blogging - though I can certainly use some help to make my blog better. I'll be gleaning some good things from you Blissfully Domestic gals.
Let me know if you decide to review the book (or others!) so I can send my readers your way!
I was so glad that I did this! It was AWESOME!
Oh man! I'm definitely adding the '09 event to my calendar! I can't believe I missed this one! That's what I get for going back to work and not reading blogs for a month. Darn work.
very nice blog i enjoy reading your posts very much!
How did I miss this whole thing?
I want to go next time.
Great to meet you - briefly before I left! (my hands were full of goodies)
