Don't you wish you had eaten dinner here?Busy Girl: "Cubed meat scares me."
(Note: she was bitching about nothing in the house to cook for dinner, so Busy Dad told her to do something with some ham or beef or whatever it was that was in the fridge for soup or stew)
----------------
Me: "Eat your peas."
Busy Boy: "And, if I don't?" (he was being silly)
Me: "Eat your peas, or I'll take your phone."
Busy Boy: "OK. You may have won the battle, but I shall win the war."
Me: "The war of what? Peas? In which case you will have won...peas."

Busy mom...I've been following you on Twitter and you just crack me up...I've favorited more of your comments than anyones! This argument is case in point...such logic! Such debate! Flawless mothering! I am in awe of your debate skills...and now I'm off to force the vegetable du jour down the throat of my DH (who can be finicky as a stupid cat at times)
Yeah, okay, what Paula Clare said.
War of the Peas - isn't that a Veggietales movie? HAHA No wait - I think it is Lord of the Beans...
Funny, my wife won't eat chicken at chain restaurants because she says it's "Safeway chicken"...Which I guess is different than Von's chicken.
Too funny - my sister in law just said her daughter (5) said she doesn't want to visit this weekend because last time we made her eat her peas. We run a tight ship around here!
I wish I could win some of these battles, so far my daughter would rather starve than eat something she doesn't like.
You tell him mom.
you win peas- bwahahaha!!
Listen: Don't knock it. Peas are good for you. Along with beans and celeriac.
Is THIS what I have to look forward to? Nooooooo! I thought the supper-table-drama with my three year old was bad enough.
