At least you don't have a closet full of gifts and no clue who they go to because you lost your coveted list.
Yeah, fun times here.
I haven't lost any gifts yet, but I'm way behind in my shopping. Once upon a time, my goal was to have it finished by Thanksgiving. I think that must have been in a previous life.
Uh, I've been playing "Just get through the birthdays first, then I'll think about Christmas"
Today was the last party so I guess it's time.
I've bought zip in the present department. I've shopped for zip in the present department. I've brain stormed....zip in the present department. I'm pathetic....Yup.
While I'm busy being pathetic, can I ask a favor? I will do it with my head hanging low from embarrassment. But, I am having a 12 Days of Christmas contest on 3 blogs and I'd love it if you and your readers would come enter.

Please don't hate me. You should love me especially since I've done less shopping than you.
I actually bought myself a gift from one of the vendors in my give away....and then tonight....I gave to my cousin at her wedding rehearsal....I'm pathetic.....so I don't even have gifts for myself...
I was on the same Mission yesterday. It started at 7:30 am with a trip to Toys R Us and finished at 3:00 in HomeGoods.
Then I came home to share my great and wonderful success with my DH. I was (foolishly) expecting much gratitude and accalades, as I am an only child as well and it is primarily HIS family for which I purchase gifts...
SIL
BIL
M and FIL
Triplet niece and nephews
Grandmother.... it goes on and on.
Anyway, all I got was a comment that sounded a lot like "Can I go now? I have a blog entry to write" To which I almost replied "I want a divorce."
Okay... maybe I even siad it with my eyes.
Well, that sucks.
Been there, Done that!
We've laid the present monster to rest this year. The Christmas shopping insanity will never sleigh us again. We buy one gift for the girlies, bake cookies for the grown kids and get something small for the grandkids. The adults can do without - it's not their birthday, ya know!
I realize your energy you have directed at this stuff. We are impatient for your forthcoming piece. Please that I uncovered this an informative and interesting blog. I simply hope you could make another post springing out of this. It's worthy reading.
