Man, I gotta write something that's not about a complaint, a funeral or volleyball.
Um...
OK, here we go...
It's coming..
Actually, I had something written and Busy Boy looked over my shoulder and said, "No!!" since it was about something he said.
Suffice to say it was pretty funny, and when he said it, he immediately caught himself and lamented, "That sounded like something Busy Girl would say!"
Yes, indeed folks it's true that when your kids get older, it's harder to write about them for lots of reasons.
Those reasons are not so much moral or ethical as they are practical since the kids can start their own blogs and they will also choose your nursing home.
Busy Girl's volleyball team got second in state after a hard-fought battle in the finals. They were disappointed, but we are very proud of them.
Oops, that was about volleyball.
Other than that, I can't write much else as I can't hear myself think through the continual banging of plastic things that is Busy D's obsession with Tech-Deck.
Oops, a complaint.
Give me a break, at least I'm out of stuff to say about funerals at the moment.

My whole blog entry today is a complaint, so I would never dream of complaining about your complaining.
My stepdaughter has read my blog for years and thinks I don't know. She comments under various names. It's a good thing I don't write about her.
I've quit writing as much about my 7-year-old specifically. Yep the whole, hey they're going to pick out the place where I'll be wearing diapers some day thing puts it in perspective!
2nd in state is nothing to sneeze at! Tell Busy Girl congratulations. And well done Busy Mom for sitting through all those games. You're a good mom.
Perhaps, not the best time to tell you (or, Busy D) that my 8 yo loves Tech-Deck and that they are for girls, too?!?!?
Well, I am glad that you were able to refrain from discussing funerals. That is a good thing, right?
My 7yr old did that exact same thing when I was blogging the other day! Looking over my shoulder and making comments that it was about him. I assured him that only "grown ups" were reading, and he seemed slightly placated by that.
Great blog. Will pop in again soon!
About picking on the little kids: My 13 year old daughter asked why I was posting more about her first grade stepbrother than her. "He can't read," I told her.
Haha! I know! But It's amazing that they are growing up so fast right?! And maybe they'll be blogging about you too.
Congrats to the busy girls!!! Its true when they get older it is harder to write. Kids are funny about that kind of stuff. I just dont tell mine lol
B.M. I must admit, I've strayed from your blog for awhile, but I see you're in the same land as me; our life is in such a rut, its hard to find new things to talk about, outside of work (and I blog for work, so that's a separate thing). I can't whine too much in my blog about how horrid our finances are, hubby's unemployment, etc. because, well, you never know who's reading! :) So...out comes blither about our pets...and, well, I just don't write that much lately....Why don't you bring the kiddos up to Indpls. for a weekend and I'll give you a personal tour of "my" museum (blog = www.indianastatemuseum.wordpress.com) and then we'll BOTH have more to write about! :-D
Erecting a Mosque at Ground Zero has to be the ignorant idea within the history of humankind, I really consider it's intentionally engineered, at very best, to insight controversy. I am not really a conspiracy theorist only this really is either shameful or evil, conceivably both of them. willa
