Fa la la la la

Man, every time I sit down to write lately, it's all, "Blah-dee blah-dee, blah, mom-bloggedy, mom-bloggedy, bleh."

I mean, I am a mom with a blog and I suppose that makes me a mom blog, mommy blog or whatever.

Fine by me and all, but when my own entries make me fall asleep, then I tend not to write anything.

Christmas is nigh, and like most people I gots stuff ta do and, like a lot of other people, I ain't finished doing it yet.

My kids are going to be shocked when they grow up and find that it's not a "thing" to wait until the middle of the night on Christmas Eve to wrap gifts.

Other that that, I don't have anything out of the ordinary to do, in fact, I have a little bit less to do since my MIL isn't coming here this year. We'll go there either Saturday or Sunday.

I'd rather go there on Sunday since I hold out hope (cute, huh?) that I might get to see my own friends or relax in my own home the day after Christmas. But, whatever happens, happens.

I still have to go to the grocery (ya'll are going to have to help me with the beef tenderloin like you do every year because I never remember what to do) and get a few odds and ends today.

First, though, Busy Girl has to have an MRI on her hip, she's had trouble with it since volleyball. It's not going to be fun since it has to be an arthrogram.

I'll just be glad when it's over. She may need surgery, but I'll obsess over that later.

Busy D. is all TechDeck all the time, and Busy Boy just called me to the den, "Mom! Come here!".

I responded as directed as it sounded sort of urgent. He went on, "Look! I'm warm and my hands are free!!"

He was wearing his Snuggie that my MIL got him over Thanksgiving.

Annnd...apparently that's going to be the last pleasant conversation we're going to have today.

Something about naughty or nice goes here.

Can't help you out the the tenderloin (hubs puts the "beef" in what's for dinner) but, when you're ready to obsess about Busy Girl, let me be the first to volunteer and help you, you know, obsess. Good luck with the MRI and Happy Christmas, Busy Family!!!

Good luck to BusyGirl and, man, I hear ya on the teenage boy thing. 90% naughty and maybe 10% nice here. Maybe. Just had a huge shouting match about why he's not allowed to drink. Does 'Because I Said So' count? Merry Christmas? Hmmm...well. Merry Christmas to the BusyFam. Hope you all get everything you wish for!

I hear ya on the writing subject...I feel like my blog has been hijacked by my faith and or parenting thoughts sometimes and wonder what happened to the girl who started my blog?

Merry Christmas - hope all goes well with the teens!

1) don't burn the outside fo the tenderloin like my dad and brother seem to insist on doing everytime (intentionally..??)
2) B was all TeckDeck all the time at that age too! we love us some teckdeck!

What an intro, how fun! I had an MRI on my knee when I was her age and the hardest part was not falling asleep - it's painless!

Also thought you'd be interested in a service I started where I make customized dinner plans for individuals that include grocery lists and recipes, and take into account your time, budget, nutritional needs, and taste!

I’d like to hear your thoughts about the new service and if this is something you would consider trying or hearing more about? You give me data and I give you a plan. Contact me at feucht22@gmail.com.

Best,
Melinda Feucht

hopefully now that xmas is over you'll relax and feel inspired?
