Busy Mom goes to the Beach - Part the However Many I Decide There Are

So, we made it to the beach safely. It's our 11th year, so we kind of have the routine down, so it's not difficult.

I trust all of you had plenty of room in my suitcase on the ride down here.

We got in about 2:30 am, and I didn't get to sleep until after 4am.

That wouldn't have been so bad, except the house next door (and right under my window) is perpetually being worked on, and the stucco guys set off some car alarm around 7:30am.

One year we were here, however, they started the day blaring the Grease soundtrack, so it could have been worse.

We got up this morning, went to eat lunch and shopped for a bit. Came back to the house to see the sunset, fixed dinner and watched TV.

HGTV is just the kind of wild and crazy time you expect from women out of town and carefree, huh? All the guys on House Hunters tonight were rather douchey-looking, so we mocked them and felt downright raucous.

I'm trying to figure out how to use Whrrl, so here's what we've been up to so far:

Get some sleep, we have more shopping in store tomorrow, and there's so many of you, you're going to have to apply to go with me in my purse.

Those of you who aren't accepted to the shopping outing may convene on the deck and look at the ocean until I return.

I'll take either option. Seriously. If it gets me out of taking down my damn tree, I'm in.

I know you would select me to hop in your purse and go shopping. I'm honored.

But I'm not much of a shopper, and I would much rather just stay at the beach house and read a book. So I'll give up my spot to a savvy shopper.

Oh ME please I LOVE shopping!!!!!

I have to say, I'd rather sit on the deck and look at the ocean. Will you bring me something? I'll have a margarita ready for you when you get back!

I think I heard that Ellen is not going to be at (or wasn't at) auditions in various cities. She joins in at some point - like when they are in Hollywood.

House Hunters International is the best... when they're looking at those Caribbean beach houses. :P

Good luck with the shopping!

wow Grease - you know that brings back some memories!!!

Have a FABULOUS time, Busy Mom! you deserve it!

Oh, beach journey, I want it too.

With my wife for the honeymoon!

I'll look at that view anyday :-)
