Happy Easter to everyone, albeit a day late.
I know not everyone celebrates Easter, but disclaimers for holidays have gotten so complicated, I hope that perhaps someday we can all just accept these wishes for what they are: just someone wishing you well on a happy day that means something to them.
We didn't have a typical Easter, Busy Girl and I were on the road for volleyball and the boys were at home having a manly man Easter, which apparently involves the ceremony of the Piling of Dirty Dishes and Abstaining from the Dishwasher.
We did have a nice time in Atlanta despite volleyball having its up and it's downs.
Hahaha!
I slay me!
Volleyball? "Ups and downs"?!
Hahahaha!
Ha.
Ha?
Oh, well. I can't be that good all the time, ya know.
Yeah, won some lost some, and so it goes.
One more tournament left, and then ya'll get a break from my volleyball tales for a few weeks.
Don't cry, school season tryouts are coming up soon, I'll resume my pointless blather, then.
The other day, I was at work, minding my own business, when from out of nowhere, my brain busts out in (jeebus, I forgot about YouTube's snazzy new layout, where is everything?):
Seriously, I loved this show (and am vaguely disturbed about it being kinda creepy now), but I forgot it even existed, but this came from out of nowhere, and I knew every single word.
Now, I can remember very specific instances of watching this show, where I was, what else I was doing, who was there. How in the world could it have been that long ago?
I have no idea where I'm going with this, but I predict you will be thinking I'm really old and questioning just how my brain works.
Well, for starters, I probably am the same age as many of your MeeMaws, and also,, you'll be sorry when I get really rich by remembering old song lyrics.

Totally remember this and yes, it's kinda creepy now.
OMG, flashback time! I remember that show too. I loved the frog.
You're not older than MY meemaw!
A friend sent me a link to 'The Double-Deckers' the other day. Haven't been able to shake that one out of my head since. But, actually, I've been known to sing it on my own, with no prompting (!) many times over the years.
I'm so weird. Hey! Happy Easter!
OH, my!! You must be about my age, as I remember watching this before heading to the bus in the morning! Television has not been the same since the mid-1970's. Is it true that Chuck Woolery (game show host) was the postman, Mr. Dingle?
Anyway, I am sure I will spend the remainder of this day trying to get the theme song out of my head and determining what the were thinking when they described Henrietta Hippo as "delicate!!"
Heee. I know all the lyrics, too. We could completely mortify the daughters by threatening a duet. Maybe that's the motivation to play better at Regionals?
Oh...thanks a lot...now, I've got this running around in my head (as if, there was any room left in there) anyway, do you remember The Magic Garden -- Carol, Paula and the Chuckle Patch?
[sound of crickets chirping]
That's okay, this is also where you remind me that I am older than you...I guess.
Thanks a lot!
I do this with H R Puffenstuff (I don't even know how you spell that!) When I was taking statistics for my psych degree I could not seem to get those formulas in my brain...but I could sing the theme song from H R Puffenstuff!!! I, obviously, had priorities.
I'm fine... me Too... we're fine... how 'bout you?
agghhh.... You started this!!!!
:-)
Moving and powerful! Youve certainly got a way of reaching people that I havent seen very often. If most people wrote about this subject with the eloquence that you just did, Im sure people would do much more than just read, theyd act. Great stuff here. Please keep it up. deputado federal
Hey, love the article, always keep it up we require far more like this! Plenty of persons take these aspects for granted...
Very helpful info here. BTW, I think I read a incredibly similar article on another blog nowadays, truly i'm pretty sure. I 'll check it out and let you know, maybe they copied your content, who knows.
