For the past 13 years, I've been extraordinarily fortunate to be able to take a trip to the beach with my friends.
In fact, I'm here right now.
The other 6 people are out walking and being all exercise-y, and I'm here producing quality content for you.
Yes, even for YOU over there, and you there in the classroom when you're supposed to be listening to your teacher (Hi, and I don't think you're supposed to have your phone out right now, but then again, what do I know?)
I'm nothing, if not a giver.
I was a little worried about the trip this year since I've recently started a new job.
It meant that I had to ask for 3 days off pretty much my first day there.
Fortunately, I was able to get the time, 'cause it would have been a shame to waste a perfectly good job.

Glad they recognized that the beach was way more important.
And a lovely piece of quality content it is, thanks!!!
Have FUN! Let the others be all exercise-y. You have important bidness to tend to.
Glad the job is an apparent keeper. May I also say that I have that same conversation with a couple of erstwhile students I know well enough to be their mother. Most importantly: ENJOY the beach and time away from children/spouse!
January where you are looks a lot different than January in Chicago. You're probably not wearing longies and flannel-lined jeans, are you? I hope you're having a great time!
I am in desperate need of a little vacation to the beach. I hope you enjoy(ed) your time away! :)
