Comments: I can't sleep!

I used to have a *lot* of trouble sleeping and didn't want to go to bed because I didn't want to lie there as The Bad Thoughts started churning. Now I have a relaxation/hypnosis/meditation app on my phone that I fall asleep to every night. I believe the program is 20 minutes long, but I've never heard the end of it, I'm long gone by then. I did give up caffeine, and there may or may not be some Ativan involved, but it's the relaxation recording that has made the difference. Email if you want the particulars.

I JUST wrote about having Momsomnia. I think it's this crazy time of year. I drink coffee (lots) in the mornings but I generally don't have caffeine past noon. Have you ever tried Melatonin? Those relaxation tapes (I mean apps...having an 80s flashback) really do work. Hope you get some zzzzs tonight!

p.s. Sleepytime Tequila sounds much more festive.

I'd bet dollars to donuts it is actually the upheaval and changes in your life right now. I NEVER sleep well when stuff is happening with the kids even if I don't go to bed thinking about it. Last time I had a real problem a little Advil PM, a sleepytime tea (w/o tequila), and a very boring book did the trick for the getting to sleep. I haven't figured out a magical concoction for the staying asleep other than the tequila (or other liquor in large doses) (I hear that is code for "passing out" - who knew!?!)

So here I am. Sitting on the fence. It's very uncomfortable. But at least it's not a picket fence...so there is that. Yeah. I don't sleep much. How'd you guess?
