Tropicana Orange Juice - Put the good in your morning $100 Visa Gift Card giveaway

This giveaway is closed, but the next Tropicana giveaway is here.

**************************

This is a sponsored post from BlogHer and Tropicana.

Orange juice! All 5 of us have to be out the door by 7am during the week, so mornings can really be hectic, and it's important that we get the day started right.

Like most busy families, a "good" morning for us comes from preparing properly the night before when everyone finishes their homework, books are packed, lunches are packed and clothes are out and ready.

Eating a good breakfast is also key to putting the "good" in the morning, and we try to make sure that everyone gets a nutritious start to the day, and orange juice is a part of it. I have 3 kids, and we drink a lot of orange juice. As a matter of fact, I have one kid whose blood analysis might reveal he is about 93% orange juice.

It's well known that I'm not always the best at eating a good breakfast, I'm just not hungry in the morning, but orange juice is one of the few things that I like first thing in the morning, so it's often the way I begin my day.

You might have heard a lot of different things about orange juice, but did you know that Tropicana Pure Premium orange juice has no added sugar or artificial sweetener? It also counts as two servings of fruit, and while eating whole fruit is always encouraged, this is great news for people (and I may or may not be among them, not telling) who don't always get enough fruit in their daily diet.

A 59-ounce container of Tropicana Pure Premium orange juice has16 fresh-picked oranges squeezed inside, and an eight-ounce glass of orange juice provides a full day’s supply of vitamin C, as much potassium as a medium banana, and it's a natural source of the B vitamin folate,

Two of my children are teenagers, and sometimes teens don't eat the way they should, so orange juice is a great way for them to get nutrients they need and to start the day off right.

The good in my morning comes from seeing my son's face as he drinks his oj, with pulp. It's priceless.
MCantu1019@aol.com

Liz:

My husband does the mornings for me. Seriously, he's better at it :) Thanks for he chance!

The good in our morning is blaring music over the speakers at 7AM and telling the children to not stop shaking their bottom for 30 seconds solid. It's impossible to have a bad day after laughing first.

I ensure I put the "good" in the morning by giving my kids and myself a balanced breakfast. It always includes fruit (or juice), some protein and healthy carbs. Thanks for a chance to win this giveaway!

Lisa:

I set my alarm extra early to allow myself to hit the snooze button at least once....this gives me a chance to lie awake in my bed without feeling rushed, and also a bonus of snuggling with my cat before i start the 'work day'. :)

I put the good in my morning by making it a point to wake up with time before I actually have to get moving.

I wake up before every one in the morning and grab a chocolate chip muffin and read for about 20 minutes and enjoy my me time to get me going

Lisa:

I "put the good" in my morning by setting the alarm early enough to give myself plenty of time to eat and get dressed.

In Texas it gets hot early. I like to make an orange julius.

I put the good in my morning by getting as much done the night before as I can. Oh, and also pouring water on my kids so they will get out of bed. Just kidding. Kind of.

Catherine:

I start every morning with a hearty bowl of oatmeal, blueberries, flax seeds, and pecans. It gives me the energy I need and keeps me full until lunch time!

sandra:

coffee!

The good starts with me...I have found that if I wake the kids with a smile and a cheery voice (even if it's forced) that the morning and day go MUCH better.

Shannon:

Mornings are our favorite time of the day, we often snuggle in bed together for a few minutes before parting ways.

The good in my morning is waking my kids up covering them with kisses and prepare them breakfast. :)

Lyn:

I'm already a Tropicana orange juice drinker and sometimes to put the good in my morning, I secretly like to dunk my toast in my OJ. Just like the flavor of them both together I guess.

Katie:

My two little kids come in to wake me up every day, and their grinning faces always get my morning started well!

raine:

I take a nice long walk before work and it always puts me in a good mood.

amy324:

Well, technically other people would call them "afternoons," but I always start my mornings with a big glass of OJ. And cinnamon toast.

Judy:

We've changed our morning routine considerably over the past year to make mornings "good" instead of "marginal"...even though it is OODLES more work for me, my boys tend to function better with protein in the morning, so I make eggs and bacon or sausage just about every morning. Usually, there's fresh fruit or at least juice along with this. By putting away the sugar-carb-laden cereals and pop tarts, I've noticed an AMAZING change in my kids each day!

Thanks for the chance!

I've recently discovered that I have lovely mornings when I get up earlier than normal and have time to sit quietly with a cup of tea. I can tell you how often that actually happens (very little!).

Also, not that you need to know, my whole day is better if I have orange juice in the house (my favorite time to drink it is in the evening) and scout's honor my favorite brand is Tropicana.

Susan Smith:

Eating a healthy breakfast with my children in the morning before they run off to school puts me in a good mood.

We are big juice drinkers at my house too. I never was much of a breakfast person, but my daughter is, and since I'm up making something for her, I usually go ahead and make something for myself too. Motherhood is good!

Jeremy:

A good shower and a good breakfast help start the day off right.

I recently realized that I need a little bit of protein in the morning. Seriously, one piece of bacon makes the entire morning better.

Running! I haven't been able to run for the past week and it is driving me crazy. Other than that, breakfast is coffee and a luna bar. Yum! :)

Rebecca Graham:

Waking up earlier than everyone else and having some time to myself before the hectic rush begins.

Annmarie Weeks:

I put the good in my morning by putting the kids on the bus & then getting onto the computer. Oh...and by taking a quick walk around the neighborhood before anyone else gets up!

shala_darkstone:

We put the good in our morning by always having breakfast, and saying we love each other, and giving hugs.

The "good" in our "good morning" comes from me getting up earlier than the kids, so I can have a little quiet waking-up-time before getting the four of them off to school.

Lunches packed, breakfasts on the table - I can concentrate on any last-minute needs they have.

Thanks for the chance - we're a big Tropicana family (I buy those huge 96 oz jugs of Pure Premium at the warehouse store); this would be a "sweet" (and nutritious!) win!

sandy:

making sure to get hugs from the kids makes my day alot better

Adrienne Gordon:

the good is spending time with my kids and getting them excited for the day ahead.

Tari Lawson:

I start my day off right by making sure I have some protein in my breakfast, usually eggs, cottage cheese or greek yogurt.

Margaret Smith:

I make sure that my family and I eat a healthy breakfast, with fruit or juice and something warm to start our day.
Thanks so much.
rickpeggysmith(at)aol(dot)com

Andrea S:

I always try to get fruit or veggies into the breakfast. Sometimes I have time to make an omelet with veggies inside, sometimes it is slicing fruit and serving with toast or muffins, and sometimes just a glass of juice. No matter how little time we have, there is always time for a serving or two of fruits or veg!

Bev E.:

Special time with my kids is the best part of any good morning! We keep a big basket of fruit in the kitchen and my busy kids love grab-n-go breakfasts like cereal bars and bagels. Fresh milk and juice like Tropicana helps give them lots of energy for their school days. Time for smiles and hugs are important every day.

I put the good in my morning by telling God good morning when I get up!

Wanda M:

The good in my morning starts out with a kiss from my husband and our darling Westie saying hello at the side of the bed. After that, we get our glass of juice and take the day as it comes. :)

In colder months I put the "good" in good morning with a hot cup of tea. In the warmer months I do like OJ. One nice thing about Tropicana is that they have a type with added calcium. Yea!

I put the "good" in my morning by starting out slow - I need time to wake up, so I make a cup of tea and read my email. Orange juice makes for the perfect mid-morning break.

When things get hectic, its easy to grab something unhealthy and go. That is why I try to keep the freezer/fridge stocked with healthy on-the-go options like single serve Naked smoothies and fresh fruit!

Emmy T:

A good morning starts with a big breakfast, bagel with turkey!

Emmy T:

Love Tropicana, wish they would put all the good things into one bottle though; high pulp, calcium, and vitamin d. Haven't tried the premium one.

I love smoothies. They are great if you are in a rush or if you have all the time in the world. They pack a huge nutritional punch and in the summer when blended with ice they are like a frozen drink! Using fresh fruit and OJ with ice in a blender = win!

Ann Muth:

I have coffee and yogurt in the am.

On Sunday’s, I will make a bunch of different flavored waffles for my kids like banana waffles, cinnamon waffles, or some awesome recipe I find online and freeze them for my kids to enjoy on school mornings. It’s quick and works great! This way, we don’t feel rushed in the morning!

I try to snatch a few moments to read while my husband is in the shower. It helps me relax a bit before starting the day.

I put the good in the morning by getting up earlier than everyone to sneak in a run or workout, and then trying to make a healthy, nutritious breakfast with tons of fresh fruit. I put the "good" in my morning by giving myself a 15 minute buffer to do some things for myself instead of just rushing around like a crazy person, like I used to do.
