Dyson Root 6 DC16 Hand Held Vacuum

Book Cover I was sent a Dyson Root 6 DC16 Hand Held Vacuum to try out.

This sucks. Heh, I've always wanted to say that. It really does, but, in a good way.

It looks kind of like a space gun, (Actually, I like to play Charlie's Angels with it, and, hide around a corner up against a wall, and jump out and point it at people) but, it's a lot more powerful than your average dust buster type-thing. It really does vacuum, we've had to use it as our main vacuum when the regular one was broken. It has no bags or filters, the debris collects in an easy to empty bin.

The only downside is a short battery life, but, plan ahead, and, recharge, and, it will be great. I think it would be well worth the expenditure if you're looking for a portable vacuum that will get a lot of use.

Senseo Single Serve Coffee Maker

senseo.jpgI've always wanted to try the Senseo Coffee maker since I've heard good things about them, so, I jumped at the chance when I was offered one for review.

The Senseo is a single serve coffee maker that uses coffee "pods" to make a fresh, cup of gourmet coffee. It only works with the pods, so, you'll want to make sure you have plenty on hand.

One thing you have to remember is that a "cup" of coffee has gotten bigger over the years, so, in order to make a size that you usually drink at home, you'll need to use 2 pods at a time.

I first thought the Senseo coffee was kind of weak, but, then I remembered I've been drinking Mexican espresso that will put hair on your neighbor's chest, so, I realized that it is actually normal coffee, and, it's pretty good!

It was easy to use once I read the directions. Be sure to flush it out like the directions say before the first use.

I have really enjoyed it, and, I think it would be especially good for someone who lives alone, and, may not want to make a whole pot of coffee for one person. I may get my dad one for that reason.

Go here for a survey and a chance to get a Senseo Coffee Machine, bag of coffee pods & storage canister, as well as five $20-off a machine purchase cards to pass along to others.

Tigi Light Me Up 1875w Hair Dryer

tigidryer.jpgI was sent a Tigi Bed Head Light Me Up!™ 1875-Watt Pulsating Dryer for review.

It's a lot of words for a hair dryer, but, it's a good one.

While I'm not entirely sure what ionic is supposed to do to my hair, I really like it.

It has fiber optic heat indicators that change color according to the heat setting. OK, and, it's flashy and shiny, too!

At a powerful 1875 watts, it's got settings for different combinations of heat and power, and, there's a pulsating setting that gives your hair extra volume. My hair doesn't have much volume any way you look at it, but, it did seem to give it a little lift.

It also dried my hair very fast, always a plus on hectic weekday mornings.

I've seen it at Target, and, Bed, Bath and Beyond, and, online retailers for $49.99 (US).
